Welcome to my blog. I set up my Folksy shop in September 2010 selling revamped & recycled button jewellery - take a look www.folksy.com/shops/mamphii. I also have some of my vintage rings in "Daisy & Lola's", a great vintage shop in Norwich and sell at Clutter City Markets at the Norwich Arts Centre.
I have been away at my parent's house this weekend and my Mum came across an old tin tea caddy of buttons which probably belonged to my Grandma & Great Aunt Kate and also a box of newer buttons. I then came home to packages of beautiful small monochrome flapper girl buttons (which will look great mounted on chrome or old black deco style buttons and made into rings, ear studs or hair slides) and some bright jumbo polka dot buttons. Just got to work out where to put them all........
Through Facebook, have met Tricia of Holly Blue Card Company and she is very kindly displaying some of my jewellery with links to my Folksy shop. This is just such a kind gesture and could've only have happened via FB!!

Check out her cards - they are lovely & v.creative!
Making most of my time at home, as my son is poorly with a cold. I have been making some funky pendants out of plektrums and buttons. I'm pretty pleased with them!
I took 20 of some of my cutest vintage button rings into Daisy & Lola's on Lower Goat Lane, Norwich today. I was really pleased with the selection of flapper button rings and some more 1960s sparkling jewel button rings. I think they are going to retail for £6 a piece - a bargain me thinks! Great as a stocking filler!!
This weekend I received a bundle of 4 wonderful little parcels crammed full of vintage buttons from my mother-in-law, Evelyn. She had been going through her button box and had found some given to her by her Granny. I feel honoured to have them.
I have created 4 lovely rings from a selection of the buttons - and with a couple of coats of varnish, they look super sparkly!
